Telecare Administrator
Hours: 24 hours weekly – (Mon-Fri)
Salary: £13.20 p/h (During Probation) - £13.50 p/h (After Probation)
North East Lincs Carelink – Helping vulnerable people in North East Lincolnshire remain independent and stay in their homes. Provide a range of telecare equipment, with highly trained staff on hand to explain, demonstrate and professionally install each solution. Having a monitoring centre operating 24/7, 365 days a year, to offer help or reassurance – just a call away. The charity has been serving the community for over 30 years.
The Telecare Administrator is to provide efficient administrative and customer support that helps vulnerable people remain independent at home, including handling enquiries and calls, coordinating telecare services, completing key admin tasks, and occasionally supporting call monitoring to deliver timely, professional assistance.
Person Specification:
Key Tasks for the Role
· Provide customer support and information about the service
· Coordinate installations, repairs, and maintain accurate records/systems
· Handle emergency and routine calls, assessing urgency and taking appropriate action
· Support callers with reassurance and ensure their safety
· Liaise with families, professionals, and partner agencies
· Monitor lone workers and support team operations
· Maintain, test, and manage telecare equipment and stock
· Complete general administration, including rotas, logs, and documentation
· Promote the service and assist with public enquiries
· Follow all policies, procedures, and safeguarding responsibilities
Key Requirements for the Role
· Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
· When required - Flexible availability, willing to work outside main hours and available to attend training / meetings outside shift pattern as well as cover shifts to maintain the call centre service.
· Experience of IT systems including bespoke databases and MS Office
· Accurate Record Keeping
· Competent literacy skills
· Willingness to lone work and attend people’s homes.
· Disclosure of criminal records applies - DBS
