Company Overview
JWE Media is an independent media planning and buying agency delivering campaigns across the UK and EMEA. We work across above-the-line, below-the-line and digital media, helping clients reach the right audiences through considered planning, effective buying and measurable results.
Job Overview
We are looking for a highly analytical and commercially minded Media Performance & Insights Analyst to take ownership of campaign tracking, measurement and reporting across JWE Media.
You will work across a varied mix of channels, including TV, radio, out-of-home, print, direct response, programmatic, digital out-of-home, connected TV, online video, digital audio, paid social and content-led campaigns.
The role covers the full campaign measurement process: establishing KPIs before launch, ensuring the correct tracking is in place, monitoring live performance and producing clear post-campaign analysis reports.
This is not simply a data-gathering position. You will be expected to interpret performance, identify what influenced the results and provide practical recommendations that improve future campaigns.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of campaign reporting across all JWE Media clients and media channels.
- Establish clear campaign objectives, KPIs and measurement frameworks before campaigns go live.
- Create reporting plans that reflect each client’s objectives and the role of each media channel.
- Collect, validate and reconcile campaign data from media owners, DSPs, ad servers, social platforms, analytics tools and other relevant sources.
- Produce accurate weekly, monthly and end-of-campaign reports.
- Prepare comprehensive PCA reports following every campaign, comparing planned activity, delivered activity and campaign outcomes.
- Present clear insights on what worked, what did not work and what should be changed for future campaigns.
- Monitor live digital campaigns, highlighting pacing issues, delivery discrepancies, underperformance and opportunities for optimisation.
- Work with the planning and buying teams to turn campaign data into practical optimisation recommendations.
- Ensure appropriate campaign tracking is implemented, including pixels, conversion events, tracking links and UTM structures.
- Measure and interpret metrics including reach, frequency, impressions, CPM, completed views, engagement, CTR, CPC, conversions, CPA and return on advertising spend.
- Incorporate wider measurement such as brand uplift, footfall, response, enquiries or sales data where available.
- Clearly explain where results can be attributed directly to media activity and where measurement limitations exist.
- Build and maintain reporting dashboards, templates and campaign benchmarks.
- Improve the consistency, efficiency and accuracy of reporting across the agency.
- Support client meetings by presenting campaign performance and answering measurement-related questions.
- Contribute campaign results and insights to case studies, proposals and new-business pitches.
- Develop effective relationships with media owners, technology platforms and measurement partners.
Essential Experience and Skills
- Relevant experience in media analytics, campaign measurement, digital reporting or a similar role.
- A strong understanding of digital advertising and its key performance metrics.
- An understanding of how above-the-line and below-the-line media can be evaluated.
- Experience working with campaign data from DSPs, social platforms, ad servers or web analytics tools.
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills.
- Experience producing dashboards and client-facing reports.
- Excellent numerical ability and attention to detail.
- The ability to analyse data and provide meaningful conclusions, rather than simply reporting figures.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The confidence to present findings and recommendations to clients and internal teams.
- The ability to manage multiple campaigns and reporting deadlines simultaneously.
Desirable experience
- Agency-side media reporting or analytics experience.
- Experience with GA4, Looker Studio, Power BI, Tableau or similar reporting tools.
- Knowledge of programmatic buying, DSPs and digital campaign optimisation.
- Familiarity with attribution, brand-lift studies, footfall measurement or econometric analysis.
- Experience combining media data with CRM, sales or enquiry data.
- Knowledge of SQL or other data-analysis tools would be advantageous.
About you
You will be naturally curious, highly numerate and able to translate complex campaign data into straightforward commercial insights. You should be comfortable questioning results, investigating discrepancies and explaining performance to colleagues and clients.
How success will be measured
Success in this role will be demonstrated through accurate and timely reporting, reliable campaign tracking, clear and valuable post-campaign analysis, and recommendations that lead to measurable improvements in future campaign performance.
