Accommodation Links Ltd is a property management company based in Stockport with a large portfolio of residential properties. To help us continue providing a high standard of service to our tenants, we are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Handyman to join our in-house maintenance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in property maintenance. No previous maintenance experience is required, as full training will be provided. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
*Key Responsibilities*
- Assisting experienced maintenance operatives with day-to-day repairs and maintenance.
- Carrying out basic maintenance tasks under supervision.
- Commuting to residential properties across our portfolio.
- Collecting and returning property keys as required.
- Helping to keep work areas clean, safe and organised.
- Reporting any issues or concerns to the Maintenance Manager.
- Working as part of the wider maintenance team.
- Undertaking other duties as required.

- A full UK Driving Licence (essential).
Previous experience in maintenance is not essential but any practical experience, DIY skills or relevant qualifications would be an advantage.
What You'll Learn
As part of the role, you'll gain experience in a wide range of maintenance tasks, including:
- Basic plumbing repairs.
- Painting and decorating.
- Joinery and carpentry.
- Lock repairs and replacements.
- Tiling repairs.
- Guttering maintenance.
- General handyman work.
- Property repairs following leaks or damage.
- Assisting with bathroom and kitchen refurbishments.
- Basic property maintenance.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, with occasional overtime as and when required.
This is a 12-month contract with the possibility of an extension.
