Responsibilities
- Cut fabric precisely according to patterns and specifications.
- Sew, alter, and repair clothing items with attention to detail and quality.
- Maintain a clean, organised workspace and ensure all tools are properly maintained.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure expectations are met or exceeded.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Tailor or in a similar role within the fashion or garment industry.
- Proficiency in using sewing machines, hand sewing techniques, and pattern-making tools.
- Strong understanding of fabrics, textiles, and garment construction.
- Excellent attention to detail with an eye for precision and quality craftsmanship.
- Good organisational skills and ability to manage multiple orders simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with clients regarding their needs.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of workmanship. Candidates with additional skills such as fashion design knowledge or experience working with specialised fabrics will be considered advantageous.
