Full time 40hrs per week
Monday – Friday 08.30 - 17.00, occasional 07.30 starts for cover
Pay banding £12.91 - £13.12 depending on experience
Summary
We are recruiting for a Stores person within our busy Tiptree garden centre with travel to our other centres. You will be working predominantly within our warehouse and logistics team. This consists of receiving goods in, warehousing, customer deliveries, store-to-store transfers, unloading deliveries/containers, checking off/storing stock and assisting the retail team. We are looking for a motivated individual who is looking for a career in the garden centre industry.

Role responsibilities:
· Preparing orders for collection and delivery
· Collecting / delivering orders using the company vans
· Store to store transfers
· Acting as banksman for incoming deliveries
· Loading and unloading vehicles (using a forklift and by hand)
· Maintaining warehouses
· Checking in deliveries accurately
· Storing goods on shelves and racking
· Assisting retail team requests
· Ensuring the warehouse is clean and tidy
· Ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed
· Delivering a high level of service to all departments in the garden centre
This is not an exhaustive list and you are required to be flexible in your approach to carrying out your duties. This may change from time to time to reflect changes in the Company’s approach to a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements
· Experience of working in a warehouse environment
· Knowledge of warehouse practices and checking off procedures
· Good communication and attention to detail
· Ability to lift heavy objects e.g., goods inward, customer deliveries
· Counterbalance forklift truck certificate – advantageous but not essential.
· Full UK Driving License is required
· NVQ or equivalent in warehousing and storage – advantageous but not essential.
