About the Role:
We are opening a new pastry shop and café within our established Magazzino site and are looking for a friendly, confident and experienced Barista to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about coffee, able to produce consistently high-quality drinks and confident creating latte art. Alongside preparing coffee, you will help display and sell our pastries, welcome customers, take orders and provide table service when required.
This is a varied, customer-facing role suited to someone who enjoys working in a lively hospitality environment and is happy to support different areas of the café.
Main Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve high-quality espresso-based drinks.
- Produce consistent latte art.
- Dial in and maintain the coffee machine and grinder.
- Take customer orders and process payments accurately.
- Present, describe and sell pastries and other café products.
- Maintain an attractive and fully stocked pastry display.
- Provide friendly and attentive table service when needed.
- Clear and reset tables promptly.
- Keep the coffee station, counter and customer areas clean and organised.
- Follow food hygiene, allergen and health and safety procedures.
- Monitor stock levels and inform management when supplies are running low.
- Support the wider team during busy service periods.
- Help create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for every customer.
What We Are Looking For:
- Previous barista experience is essential.
- Confident preparing espresso-based drinks and creating latte art.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Comfortable selling products and making recommendations.
- Willingness to provide table service and assist across the café.
- Reliable, punctual and well organised.
- Able to work efficiently during busy periods.
- Good attention to cleanliness and presentation.
- Positive attitude and a genuine interest in coffee, pastries and hospitality.
- Availability to work weekends and flexible shifts.
