Are you an organised Administrator looking for something a little different?
We are looking for a fast learning, reliable, organised and enthusiastic Administrator to join our small and friendly town planning practice, on a 3-month fixed-term contract.
You don't need previous planning experience. If you're confident with administration, have good attention to detail and enjoy learning new things, this could be a great opportunity to use your existing skills while getting an insight into the world of planning, property and development.
Working closely with a team of 4 others, you will provide administrative and project support across a range of planning applications, appeals and consultancy projects.
What You'll Be Doing
- Providing day-to-day administrative and office support.
- Preparing, organising and managing documents and project files.
- Uploading and monitoring applications through the Planning Portal and local authority systems.
- Maintaining project trackers and monitoring deadlines.
- Assisting with planning applications and appeals.
- Carrying out basic research and helping prepare reports and correspondence.
- Communicating with clients, local authorities, consultants and suppliers.
- Managing emails, calls, appointments and general administration.
- Assisting with invoices, payments and financial records.
- Supporting website and social media content.
- Attending occasional site visits and external events.
- Carrying out other administrative and project support tasks as required.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Highly confident using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- A strong written and verbal communicator.
- Comfortable managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proactive, reliable and able to work independently.
- Professional and confident when communicating by phone and email.
- Comfortable learning new systems and processes.
- Interested in property, planning, development or the built environment.
Previous office or administration experience is essential, however previous planning experience is not required.
The Role
This is a 3-month fixed-term contract offering a varied mix of administration, project coordination and planning support. It would suit someone who enjoys working in a small, professional environment and is looking for a role where they can make an immediate contribution while gaining experience in a specialist professional sector.
The role is based near Marlborough, Wiltshire, with occasional site visits, client meetings and external events.
