Job Summary
We are seeking Level 3 qualified, experience, dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children and a solid understanding of early childhood education principles and practices. As an Early Years Practitioner, you will support the daily activities of the nursery, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. This role requires effective communication skills in English and the ability to manage various tasks while fostering positive relationships with both children and parents. Ideally you should be Diploma or NVQ qualified and with working experience in a Nursery.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and implementation of engaging activities that promote learning and development in accordance with early years frameworks.
- Supervise children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Support children in their daily routines, including meals, nap times, and personal hygiene.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships within the nursery community.
- Maintain a clean and organised environment, ensuring that toys and equipment are safe and suitable for use.
- Observe children's progress and behaviour, reporting any concerns to senior staff members.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create an inclusive atmosphere that supports each child's individual needs.
Requirements
- Diploma Level 3 in Early Years or NVQ Level 3
- Previous experience in childcare or early childhood education is compulsory.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage small groups of children effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- A genuine love for working with young children and an understanding of their developmental needs.
- Ability to drive may be advantageous for transportation purposes.
- A relevant qualification in childcare or early years education is preferred but not essential.
- A commitment to safeguarding children’s welfare is paramount.
