About the Role
Lew’s Coffee Shop is looking for two enthusiastic, reliable team members to join our growing team, working approximately 15–16 hours per week over two days.
We currently have potential vacancies across our two community cafés:
- Llandaff North & Gabalfa Hub
- Caerau & Ely Hub
We’re looking for people who are flexible, self-motivated and happy to work across both locations when required. The ability and willingness to travel between our two sites is essential.
Experience in a café, hospitality or other busy customer-facing environment is always a bonus, but it’s not essential. We can teach you our systems, coffee and way of working, we’re much more interested in finding people with the right attitude.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Preparing coffee, teas and other drinks to our standards
- Providing friendly, welcoming customer service
- Building relationships with our regular customers and the wider community
- Keeping the café clean, tidy and well presented
- Helping with food preparation, washing up, clearing tables and general café duties
- Keeping yourself productive during quieter periods
- Working efficiently and calmly during busy periods
- Supporting your colleagues and helping wherever needed
- Taking responsibility for your area and helping the café run smoothly
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is proactive, dependable and willing to get stuck in.
You’ll ideally be:
- Self-motivated and able to use your initiative
- Comfortable working in a busy environment
- Friendly, approachable and confident with customers
- Reliable and punctual
- Happy to take responsibility rather than waiting to be asked
- A good team player who is willing to help wherever needed
- Comfortable learning new skills and taking feedback
- Flexible and able to travel between our Llandaff North & Gabalfa and Caerau & Ely locations
Previous café, hospitality or customer service experience is preferred but not essential. If you have the right attitude, we can train you.

About Lew’s Coffee Shop
Lew’s Coffee Shop operates from community hubs in Llandaff North & Gabalfa and Caerau & Ely, aswell as our new site at Llanedeyrn

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.75-£13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 15.0 – 16.0 per week
