We are looking for an enthusiastic Second-in-Charge (2IC) to join our progressive 400-cow spring-calving, grass-based dairy farm.
Muir Farming is relocating its 400-cow crossbred herd from Staffordshire to Warwickshire in September 2026.
Working with the farm manager, you’ll help drive herd performance and support day-to-day operations.

The Role
You’ll support all areas of the dairy business, including:
Daily herd management and milking
Grazing and grassland management
Herd health, fertility and performance monitoring
Calf rearing and youngstock management
Tractor work and general farm maintenance
Record keeping and performance monitoring
Leading daily operations in the manager’s absence
About You
We’re looking for someone with:
Practical dairy farming experience
Excellent stockmanship and attention to detail
AI training, full UK driving licence and telehandler licence
Is organised, reliable and self-motivated
A positive, team-focused attitude
Is confident operating farm machinery
Ambition to build a long-term career in dairy farming
What We Offer
Competitive salary £40k - £45k based on experience
Accommodation 3 or 2 Bed Farm Cottage on farm (dependant on needs)
11 days on / 3 days off rota, with every other weekend off and a weekday off before your working weekend
