Duties
- Assisting clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Supporting patients with medication administration and health monitoring in accordance with care plans
- Preparing nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
- Providing companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation
- Assisting with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe and clean environment
- Driving clients to appointments or social activities as needed
- Managing behaviour effectively
- Responding promptly to emergencies with appropriate first aid procedures
- Engaging clients in recreational activities to promote mental and physical well-being
- Documenting care provided accurately in accordance with organisational policies
Experience
- Prior experience in assisted living, home care, or nursing home environments is desirable
- Experience in domiciliary care is essential
- Knowledge of patient care techniques.
- Experience with medication administration and behaviour management strategies
- Familiarity with first aid procedures and emergency response protocols
- Valid driving licence preferred for transporting clients safely
- Proven ability to provide compassionate caregiving within a team environment
