Overview
We are seeking a Seasonal Part-time Sales Assistant to join our team fudge in Bude!
This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop customer service skills and gain experience in retail operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for engaging with customers, promoting products. This position is ideal for individuals seeking flexible working hours while contributing to a fun shopping environment.
We need full availability during the school Summer holidays and bank holidays and be able to work extra hours during peak trading days.
There is heavy lifting involved with the day to day job role.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide attentive assistance to enhance their shopping experience
- Assist customers with product enquiries and offer personalised recommendations
- Maintaining excellent customer service standards
- Organise merchandise displays to ensure attractive presentation and easy accessibility
- Handle transactions accurately using the till system, including processing payments and issuing receipts
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the sales & kitchen area throughout the shift
- Support stock replenishment and be able to wrap and bag all fudge
- Utilise organisational skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Maintain food safety standards at all times
Requirements
- Excellent organisational skills and time management to ensure smooth store operations
- Maintaining a friendly demeanour and respect for work colleagues
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is beneficial but not essential; training will be provided
