Responsibilities
- Supervise daily food production activities to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met.
- Manage and coordinate team members, providing guidance and support to optimise workflow.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene practices across all kitchen operations.
- Organise staff schedules, assign tasks, and monitor performance to foster a productive team environment.
- Assist with training new staff members in food preparation, safety procedures, and customer service standards.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained, cleaned, and operated safely.
- Collaborate with management to develop menus, optimise operational procedures, and improve overall service delivery.
Skills
- Proven supervising experience within a food production or hospitality setting.
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Excellent understanding of food safety standards and hygiene regulations.
- Experience in restaurant or catering environments with a focus on quality control.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure.
- Exceptional communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and management.
- A background in hospitality or culinary arts is highly desirable.
Pay: £13.50-£15.00 per hour
