PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A VOLUNTEER ROLE
Learning and Development - Volunteer handbook writer
What will you be doing?
We're seeking a talented trainer to write our volunteer foster handbook.
Alfie's Cat Rescue aims to make life better for cats in Selby. All cats that are rehomed with us live with foster volunteers in their houses so we can give them excellent care and get to know them for the best rehoming outcomes.
To support these volunteers, we are in need of a guidebook that engages volunteers and provides them with the skills and knowledge to do their role effectively.
What are we looking for?
- Experience in researching best practice
- Able to write and format training documents in an accessible and easy to read way
- Knowledge of how to engage volunteers from a range of backgrounds
What difference will you make?
Your input into this project will ensure cats receive the best care from our foster volunteers, and ensure a consistent approach to fostering and volunteering with the organisation.
Our Values
We put cats first
Every decision we make is with cats’ welfare in mind. We demonstrate compassion and respect for cats and judge our effectiveness by the extent to which their lives are improved.
We support each other
Community is at the core of what we do. We act in an inclusive and supportive way, and empower each other with the tools and support to get the work done.
We are trusted by the community
We do what we say we will do, when we say we’ll do it. We manage expectations and are accountable for our outcomes.
We seek out ways to improve
Learning is a priority and we proactively look for ways to develop ourselves and the rescue.
