Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our premises, staff, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to loss prevention and the ability to respond effectively to incidents as they arise.
Duties
- Monitor and patrol designated areas to ensure safety and security.
- Conduct regular inspections of the premises and report any suspicious activities or breaches of security.
- Operate surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to monitor activities within the facility.
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, ensuring appropriate action is taken.
- Provide first aid assistance when necessary and maintain first aid supplies.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required and assist in investigations related to theft or other criminal activities.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and any actions taken during shifts.
- Engage with staff and visitors in a courteous manner while enforcing security protocols.
Experience
- Previous experience in security or loss prevention is preferred but not essential.
- Familiarity with surveillance systems and CCTV operation is advantageous.
- Certification in first aid or willingness to undergo training is desirable.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanour.
