Get Laid Beds is a well-established manufacturer of high-quality, handmade wooden beds and bedroom furniture. We are currently seeking a motivated Team Leader to oversee the daily operations of a busy department at our Glen Parva, Leicester location.

The Role
As a Production Team Leader, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient production of high-quality bed components. You will lead a small team of operatives, fostering a positive and collaborative environment while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Supervise department operatives, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance.
- Work Management: Coordinate and prioritize workshop activities, managing the pipeline of work orders through the machinery to ensure timely completion.
- Quality Control: Implement and enforce quality control measures, conducting regular inspections to ensure all components meet our high standards.
- Health & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to Health & Safety standards, maintaining high housekeeping standards within the department.
- Reporting: Liaise with the Production Supervisor to ensure production targets are on track and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
What We Look For
The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with a commitment to quality and efficiency.
- Experience: Previous woodworking experience is highly beneficial for this role.
- Supervisory Skills: Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with workshop machinery and woodworking processes.
- Traits: Strong communication skills, impeccable attention to detail, and a positive, "can-do" attitude.
- Reliability: Excellent record of attendance and punctuality.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to handle the physical requirements of working in a busy workshop environment.
