Overview
We are seeking a motivated Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic logistics team. This role involves supporting the efficient operation of our warehouse through various handling, stocking, and shipping activities. The successful candidate will play a vital part in ensuring our inventory is managed accurately and goods are dispatched promptly. Duties
- Handling materials safely and efficiently, including loading and unloading goods from lorries and containers
- Operating forklifts and other warehouse machinery to move stock around the facility
- Managing stock levels using warehouse management systems (WMS) to ensure accurate inventory records
- Picking and packing orders with precision to meet customer specifications
- Organising stock storage areas, replenishing shelves, and maintaining a tidy workspace
- Assisting with shipping and receiving processes, including documentation and labelling
- Conducting quality control checks to ensure products meet company standards
- Performing mechanical tasks related to equipment maintenance and troubleshooting as needed
- Supporting stock rotation and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
Skills
- Proven experience in materials handling, shipping & receiving, or warehouse operations
- Ability to operate forklift trucks safely; relevant certification is advantageous
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory tracking
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in picking & packing processes
- Mechanical knowledge for basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and load/unload activities throughout shifts
- Good understanding of quality control procedures within a warehouse setting
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
