Please note: This role requires working one day every weekend (Saturday or Sunday). Weekends are some of our busiest and most inspiring days, so being available to support the team and our customers is an essential part of this position.
At homegrown, we're more than just a garden centre – we're a place where people come to relax, explore and connect with nature. We're looking for an enthusiastic, organised and hands-on Plant Area Manager to lead our plant department, ensuring it is beautifully presented, well stocked and delivers an outstanding customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day running of the plant area.
- Maintain high standards of plant care, watering and presentation.
- Monitor stock levels and place plant orders when required.
- Create attractive seasonal displays to inspire customers.
- Lead, motivate and support the plant team.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, offering knowledgeable advice and recommendations.
- Ensure the department is clean, safe and welcoming at all times.
- Work alongside the wider homegrown team to support promotions, events and seasonal changes.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience working with plants, horticulture or within a garden centre.
- Is passionate about plants and enjoys sharing their knowledge with customers.
- Has strong organisational and leadership skills.
- Takes pride in maintaining high standards.
- Is proactive, reliable and enjoys working as part of a friendly team.
- Can work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to seasonal demands.
- Is available to work one day every weekend.
