About the Role
We are seeking a versatile, creative and caring female Support Worker to provide high-quality, personalised support in a very special environment. The successful candidate will join an established team that actively seeks new and diverse experiences for the people we support.
Creativity, practical thinking and attention to the little things are important in this role. You should be willing to get involved, encourage independence and support residents to enjoy fulfilling lives.
Female-only occupational requirement: Due to the complex and personal care needs of the female residents we support, this role is open to female applicants only. This requirement is applied as an occupational requirement under the Equality Act 2010.
Hours and Rota
Two roles are available:
· Role 1: 25 hours per week, scheduled over 4 days.
· Role 2: Maternity cover, 21 hours per week over 3 days , including 2 x 3pm–10pm sleep-in shifts and 1 x 8am–3pm shift.
The rota is a 2-week rolling rota and includes a mix of early shifts, late shifts and required weekend shifts. Occasional overtime may be available.
Specific hours may occasionally be adjusted to meet the needs of the people we support, but will not exceed contracted hours unless agreed as overtime.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide personalised support that promotes independence, dignity and choice.
· Support residents to access activities, community opportunities and external services.
· Deliver limited personal care in a respectful and professional way.
· Administer medication safely in line with training and service procedures.
· Encourage creativity, confidence and meaningful daily experiences.
· Work as part of a dedicated team to maintain high standards of care and support.
About You
We are looking for someone who is caring, reliable, creative and willing to be part of new experiences with the people we support. You should be comfortable working as part of a team and committed to providing person-centred care.
· Experience supporting people with learning disabilities and/or dementia is preferred, but not essential.
· NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care would be an advantage, but training will be provided.
· A driving licence and access to your own car would be an asset, but is not required.
· You must be willing to complete online training and all required mandatory training.
Training and Checks
· Full induction training will be provided.
· Shadowing shifts will be completed during the first stages of employment.
· A training programme will be set up immediately.
· An Enhanced Disclosure check will be required.
· A minimum of two satisfactory references will be required before employment is offered.
