Warehouse & Transport Operations Manager – Heston
Lead a fast-paced warehouse and transport operation.
We're looking for an experienced operational leader to oversee warehouse and transport activities at our Heston site. You'll be responsible for delivering outstanding customer service, developing high-performing teams, maintaining compliance, and driving operational performance across the contract.
What You'll Do
- Lead the day-to-day warehouse and transport operations
- Manage customer relationships, ensuring KPIs and SLAs are consistently achieved
- Plan resources effectively, including agency requirements
- Develop and coach operational teams to deliver strong performance
- Drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency
- Manage stock accuracy, cost control, and budget performance
- Oversee driver compliance and transport standards
- Be accountable for ETSF and ensure bonded warehouse and customs procedures are maintained
- Lead Health & Safety, security, and operational compliance activities
- Work closely with stakeholders across the business to implement change and improve service
- Work closely with the Night Transport Manager and provide cover when required
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience managing warehouse and transport operations within a fast-paced logistics environment
- FLT Licence - Desirable
- Driving Licence - Essential
- CPC Certificate - Essential
- Understand of basic employment law
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Experience delivering customer KPIs and SLAs
- Knowledge of transport compliance and warehouse operations
- Commercial awareness and budget management experience
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience driving change and continuous improvement
- Knowledge of ETSF, customs, or bonded warehousing
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities

Shift pattern:
> any 5 over 7 between 06:00-22:00hrs
