Job Summary
Situated in the centre of Keswick, Treeby & Bolton is a successful contemporary shop, gallery & cafe serving homemade cakes, breakfasts and light lunches. We are seeking a Part Time Chef to work 2 days a week and additional holiday cover. The position could be supplemented with additional hours up to full time by combining the position with a front of house role in our busy cafe.
The role will involve assisting the Kitchen Team with baking, food preparation, breakfast & lunch service, and maintaining excellent food safety standards. You will ideally have experience in a similar environment, however this is not essential as full training will be provided.
The position offers:
- Straight shifts and daytime only work.
- 17-40 hours over 2-5 days including weekends plus staff holiday cover.

Duties
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards.
- Ensure good food production processes, ensuring consistency, presentation, and freshness.
- Assist the kitchen team to manage kitchen operations, including food preparation, food service, food ordering, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen.
- Serve customers efficiently and courteously at the front of house, taking orders and providing excellent hospitality.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across all areas of the kitchen and front of house.
- Maintain stock levels, order supplies as needed, and manage inventory control.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a culinary environment with a strong background in food preparation and cooking.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour.
- Experience in serving customers and handling front of house responsibilities is advantageous.
Pay: £14.25-£14.75 per hour
