Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pub Chef to join our vibrant family hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking traditional pub fare quality dishes that meet our standards, ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our patrons. Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present a variety of pub-style dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards
- Oversee food production processes to ensure efficiency, consistency, and safety
- Manage kitchen operations during shifts, including cleaning, and coordinating food service, and working independently and within a team
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist in menu planning and development to introduce new dishes and seasonal specials
- Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage inventory to minimise waste
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are strictly adhered to at all times
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery and customer satisfaction
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within a hospitality setting
- Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
- Leadership qualities with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making
- Experience in restaurant or pub environments, with an understanding of hospitality operations
- Competence in food production techniques, including culinary skills relevant to pub cuisine
- Good communication skills for effective teamwork and customer interaction
- Previous serving experience is advantageous for understanding customer expectations and service flow
