We are a family run 2 man courier based in Corby and looking for an experienced Warehouse manager to manage all day to day warehouse activity shifts will be 12 noon - 10pm Monday to Friday.
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Logistics & Warehouse Manager to lead our supply chain operations and warehouse activities. This pivotal role combines strategic oversight with hands-on management to ensure seamless transportation, storage, and distribution processes. Responsibilities
- Oversee all logistics functions, including transportation management systems (TMS)
- Supervise daily warehouse activities such as shipping & receiving, inventory control, and order fulfillment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage third-party logistics providers (3PL) to coordinate transportation services, track shipments, and resolve issues promptly.
- Lead process improvement initiatives focused on continuous improvement strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve safety standards.
- Monitor profit & loss statements related to logistics operations, identifying opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement.
- Supervise warehouse staff, including forklift operators and other team members, fostering a safe and productive work environment.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain accurate records of all logistics activities..
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience in logistics or warehouse management roles with a strong understanding of supply chain processes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage profit & loss responsibilities effectively while driving process improvements.
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures, forklift operation certification, and warehouse safety standards.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with 3PL partnerships and supply chain best practices to optimize overall logistics performance.
