Job Summary
Join our kitchen team as a Kitchen Hand/Cook.
In this role, you'll be instrumental in ensuring the timely service of our delicious food. You'll be preparing starters, plating main meals on the pass and supporting the Head Chef during service, whilst maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Duties
- Ensuring your section is set and ready for service.
- Preparing and plating starters.
- Plating meals produced by the chef to ensure timely service.
- Assist with food preparation.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all kitchen areas, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and proper storage of ingredients
- Follow food safety protocols diligently to ensure compliance with health regulations
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment or restaurant setting is ESSENTIAL.
- Strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Willingness to learn new culinary techniques and adapt to evolving kitchen needs
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
