To work as part of a team member, and to provide the children who attend the nursery with a balanced healthy diet.
Main Duties:
· To be aware and respect children’s varying dietary requirements.
· Responsible for the preparation and presentation of all food and drink to the highest standards.
· Ensure that samples of food are taken and frozen for a 2 week period.
· Ensure that temperatures of the food are taken and recorded on the relevant sheet.
· Responsible for following the menu at all times.
· Maintain a high standard of hygiene within the kitchen and all appliances.
· Responsible for the rotation of stock.
· To prepare afternoon snack and tea.
· To prepare a shopping list weekly.
· Defrost freezers regularly, clean out fridges on a weekly basis
· Ensure that that cleaning rota is followed at all times. The kitchen should have a high standard of cleanliness at all times.
· To be aware of the policies and procedures of the nursery and follow and put these into daily practice.
· To maintain a clean and tidy appearance at all times and to wear a hat and apron.
· To attend staff meetings, in-service training and to be prepared to attend further training courses as seen fit by the management team.

Pay: £25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
