HGV Class 2 Driver - Duties & Responsibilities
We are seeking a reliable and conscientious HGV Class 2 Driver to join our waste management team, focusing on the collection of waste and recycling materials. As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and sustainability of our community by safely operating vehicles and equipment designated for waste and recyclables collection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate HGV Class 2 vehicles for the collection of residential and commercial waste and recycling materials.
- Navigate assigned routes within the community, ensuring timely collection and adhering to all traffic and safety regulations.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and minor maintenance tasks to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
- Collaborate with team members to assist in loading and unloading materials, as required.
- Provide excellent service to residents and businesses, addressing any concerns and ensuring compliance with local recycling regulations.
Requirements:
- Valid HGV Class 2 license and a clean driving record.
- Experience in waste collection or a related field is preferred but not essential.
- Strong commitment to safety procedures and environmental sustainability.
- Ability to work early mornings and on a flexible schedule, including some weekends.
