Quay Fresh & Frozen Foods Ltd (The Fish Factory) is a successful family-run seafood business based in New Quay, Ceredigion. With over 50 years of experience and now in our third generation, we specialise in processing and exporting high-quality seafood.
We are looking for reliable, hardworking and friendly people to join our production team. Whether you're looking for a long-term career or immediate employment, we'd love to hear from you.
Full training is provided, so previous factory or seafood processing experience is helpful but not essential.
Pay & Rewards
- Starting pay of £13.25 per hour
- Increase to £13.75 per hour after successful completion of a 6-month probation period
- Increase to £14.25 per hour after 2 years' service
- Production bonuses during busy periods

About the Role
This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced production environment. Duties include:
- Grading and quality-checking whelks
- Cooking and processing seafood products
- Weighing and packing products
- Bagging cooked whelks and packing boxes
- Loading and unloading deliveries
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Following health and safety procedures at all times
- Supporting colleagues as part of a team
Working Hours
- 6:00am start
- Minimum of 5 days per week
- Additional hours available during busy periods

- Are legally entitled to work in the UK and can provide relevant documentation
Due to our early start time and limited public transport options, applicants should have reliable transport to and from work.
A forklift licence would be advantageous but is not essential.
