Excel Process Systems Ltd is looking for a skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricator to join our production team in Derby. This is a hands-on role supporting the construction, repair and modification for projects of varying sizes, mainly working with stainless steel.
As a Welder/Fabricator, you will interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications to cut, shape, weld and assemble metal components to a high standard. You will work safely, accurately and efficiently, ensuring all fabrication and welding activity meets customer requirements, company procedures and quality standards including ISO 9001.
Key responsibilities
· Carry out fabrication work including cutting, drilling, bending and forming metal components using appropriate tools and equipment.
· Complete welding work to job specifications while following company procedures and quality requirements.
· Read and interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications.
· Inspect finished fabrication work to confirm compliance with quality standards and specifications.
· Use welding tools, hand tools, lifting equipment and other workshop equipment safely and correctly.
· Work collaboratively with colleagues while also being able to manage tasks with minimal supervision.
· Support continuous improvement by helping to reduce waste, improve efficiency and streamline work processes.
What we are looking for
· Experience in welding and metal fabrication within a workshop, engineering or manufacturing environment.
· Ability to work from technical drawings and engineering specifications.
· Good practical knowledge of fabrication methods, workshop tools and safe working practices.

· Good time management skills and the ability to meet production deadlines.

Pay: £19.00-£20.24 per hour
