Our friendly, close-knit dental practice in Bournemouth is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Qualified Dental Nurse to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
Chairside Support
Provide high-quality clinical support to dentists, hygienists and therapists during a range of patient treatments.
Surgery Preparation
Set up and prepare treatment rooms, ensuring all required materials, instruments and equipment are ready and in good working order.
Infection Prevention and Control
Decontaminate and sterilise instruments and equipment, maintain high standards of cleanliness and safely segregate and dispose of clinical waste in accordance with practice policies.
Patient Care
Welcome and escort patients from the waiting room to the surgery, ensure their medical histories are up to date and help them feel comfortable throughout their visit.
Clinical Records and Laboratory Work
Assist with accurate patient record-keeping, ensure required laboratory work is available before appointments and liaise with the reception team regarding patient bookings and treatment requirements.
Stock Control
Monitor surgery stock levels, report shortages and assist with stock ordering and rotation.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Is a qualified Dental Nurse with current GDC registration
- Has a positive, professional and can-do attitude
- Takes ownership of their responsibilities and supports colleagues
- Is committed to delivering excellent patient care and experience
- Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Works well independently and as part of a team
- Has a good understanding of infection control, confidentiality, safeguarding and professional dental standards
- Is organised, reliable and able to work in a busy clinical environment
- Has experience assisting with dental radiographs, where appropriately trained
