Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Tradesman/woman. This role will be based on a large plot of land undergoing renovation.
Duties
- Fabricate, assemble, and install structural components using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment
- Perform carpentry and joinery work to construct or repair frameworks, fixtures, and finishes
- Use roofing techniques to install or repair roofing systems, ensuring durability and weather resistance
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely to move materials and equipment around the worksite
- Carry out construction painting to prepare surfaces and apply finishes that meet project specifications
- Install plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and fittings, adhering to safety standards and codes
- Execute masonry work such as laying bricks or stones for walls, facades, or other structures
- Apply electrical experience for basic wiring tasks or assist licensed electricians with complex installations
- Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently to complete tasks accurately and safely
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols at all times
Experience
- Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, carpentry, joinery, roofing, masonry, plumbing or electrical work within the construction industry
- Demonstrated ability to operate hand tools and power tools effectively across various trades
- Experience with heavy lifting equipment or techniques preferred but not required
- Knowledge of construction painting techniques and safety standards
- Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and best practices in construction sites
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly to changing project needs
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards
