Role Overview:
CNG Fuels Ltd are looking to recruit an experienced HGV ADR driver trainer based at our Wigan office.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Deliver training relating to drivers’ hours / tachographs / WTD rules and regulations to new and existing drivers.
- Maintain up to date training records and be proactive in identifying training needs.
- Deliver training regarding SAFED/ Fuel Economy and Defensive Driving
- Report on (both verbal and written) the ability and performance of drivers following all driver training courses undertaken, using counselling and coaching techniques as required.
- Ensure the transport department is fully compliant with all training requirements
- HGV Driving License – full, clean C+E and ADR
- Able to work without direct supervision.
- Adaptable approach to work/ training.
- Excellent communication skills to deliver accurate information to trainees.
- Effectively prioritise workload to meet set deadlines.
- A good standard of computer literacy, particularly MS Office / Excel applications.
- Responsible for managing drivers’ annual assessments and reassessments.
- To deliver innovative ideas and strategies for driver training.
- Keep up to date on all initiatives and VOSA/DSA changes (compliance).
- Managing driver infringements and lead in time violations (Aquarius)
- Carry out driving assessments as part of recruitment process
- New drivers training, inductions, delivery process training, SOPs, Tacho rules, defect reporting and walk round checks.
- Delivery risk assessment completion.
- Continuous driver development and support.
- Driving infringement management.
- RTA investigations support.
- Driver CPC planning and review.
- Support the Transport Manager with investigations.
- Support with deliveries as and when required.
Required Skills & Experience
- Previous demonstrable experience is required in this role
- Must hold LGV1 C+E entitlement
- Current CPC, Current Digital Tachograph and ADR certification including Tanks and Class 2 flammable gases.
