Office and IT Manager (Fixed Term – 3 Months)
Grade 7 SCP 26–29 (£37,280 – £39,862 pro rata) 37 Hours per Week
Bodmin Town Council is seeking an experienced and proactive Office and IT Manager to join our team on an initial fixed-term basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting one of Cornwall's largest and most ambitious town councils as we continue to modernise our services, strengthen our organisation and deliver our Strategic Plan.
Working closely with the Responsible Finance Officer, Town Clerk, Senior Leadership Team and Members, you will provide leadership and oversight of the Council's administration and IT functions, helping to ensure that services, systems and processes are delivered efficiently, effectively and in accordance with good governance and best practice.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Administration Team, overseeing the Council's IT and communications systems, supporting data protection and information governance requirements, managing key contracts and helping to ensure the smooth daily operation of the organisation.
As part of our ongoing organisational development programme, Bodmin Town Council is committed to continuous improvement and achieving the highest standards of governance, service delivery and community leadership, with aspirations to achieve Gold Award standard through the Local Council Award Scheme.
We are looking for a highly organised and professional individual with excellent communication skills, strong administrative and IT knowledge, experience of managing staff and the ability to work confidently across a wide range of operational and corporate functions.
Bodmin Town Council is delivering an ambitious Strategic Plan focused on improving services, investing in community assets, supporting regeneration and strengthening organisational capacity. As the organisation continues to evolve, we expect new opportunities and responsibilities to emerge across a range of service areas. Whilst this appointment is offered on a fixed-term basis for an initial period of three months, it provides an opportunity to become part of that wider journey and contribute to the future success of the Council.
This role would suit an experienced manager who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.

Pay: £30,886.94-£68,367.63 per year
