About the restaurant
Yun is a new Yunnan restaurant opening on Torrington Place in central London.
The restaurant will focus on the distinctive food and flavours of Yunnan, a province in southwest China. We are now putting together our opening kitchen team and are recruiting across a wide range of positions.
Roles available
We are recruiting for:
- Senior chefs
- Junior chefs
- Kitchen assistants
- Kitchen porters and dishwashers
- Other kitchen positions

What the role may involve
Depending on the position, you may be:
- Preparing ingredients and dishes
- Following recipes, portion sizes and presentation standards
- Supporting the kitchen before and during service
- Maintaining consistent food quality
- Receiving and storing deliveries
- Monitoring stock and helping to reduce waste
- Keeping work areas, equipment and storage spaces clean and organised
- Washing dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment
- Following food-safety, hygiene and allergen procedures
- Completing cleaning and temperature records
- Helping with opening and closing duties
- Supporting the wider kitchen team during busy services
What we are looking for
For chef positions, we are looking for people with relevant professional kitchen experience, good preparation and organisation skills, and the ability to work efficiently during a busy service.
Experience with Yunnan, Chinese or other Asian cuisine would be particularly helpful for chef roles.
For kitchen assistants, kitchen porters and dishwashers, previous experience is helpful but may not be essential. We are looking for people who are reliable, hardworking and willing to help wherever needed.
