Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items with precision, creativity, and consistency to meet quality standards
- Supervise kitchen operations, including food production, plating, and presentation to ensure efficiency and excellence
- Manage food safety protocols, ensuring cleanliness, proper storage, and adherence to health regulations at all times
- Lead and motivate a team of cooks and kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment
- Oversee food inventory management, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste
- Assist in training team members on food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and service standards
- Maintain a high level of hospitality by serving guests with professionalism and enthusiasm during meal service
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen roles within a cafe or restaurant setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling
- Demonstrated culinary expertise with the ability to prepare diverse menu items efficiently
- Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop team members
- Solid understanding of hospitality principles and customer service excellence
- Prior experience in restaurant or cafe environments is preferred; serving experience is a plus
