Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Hand/Cook to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about food preparation and culinary arts. Duties
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients
- Cook and prepare meals according to specified recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitising surfaces
- Support the team during busy service periods to ensure timely delivery of meals
- Follow all food safety regulations and hygiene standards diligently
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Assist in plating and presentation of dishes for service
- Support the overall functioning of the kitchen by performing additional tasks as directed by senior staff
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Friendly, reliable, and able to work well within a team
- Willingness to learn new skills and take on various responsibilities in the kitchen environment
