Duchy College, formerly Harrogate Ladies College, is seeking to appoint a highly-qualified Estates Manager to take ownership of the development, maintenance, improvement and safe operation of the school site. This is an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to make a significant contribution to the School, ensuring a safe working environment for the whole community.
Harrogate Ladies’ College is in a momentous phase of its history. In September, we will begin the transition to becoming fully co-educational and will change our name to Duchy College. The School covers a 22 acre site within the Duchy of Lancaster conservation area which is a short distance from Harrogate town centre. The site includes a variety of substantial buildings all set within attractive grounds.
Reporting to the Principal, the Estates Manager will be responsible for managing the Estates team and working collaboratively with the Senior Leadership Team across the whole school.
This is a varied and dynamic role, therefore it is essential the appointed person has a ‘hands-on approach’ to managing estates maintenance issues. The Estates Manager needs to be highly organised, have the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and communicate clearly with all stakeholders.
The successful Estates Manager will line-manage and work closely with the School’s Estates Compliance Manager to ensure legislative obligations are met across the School site. Comprehensive knowledge of Health and Safety associated with estates maintenance is therefore essential.
This is a full-time position with some evening and weekend working for specific school events.
Salary: Dependent on experience, plus benefits (further details on request).
