Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow
- Manage food production processes, ensuring timely delivery of meals during service hours
- Oversee food safety procedures, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in compliance with regulations
- Assist in menu planning and ingredient sourcing to optimise quality and cost-efficiency
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock rotation
- Train new team members on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and service standards
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Maintain organisation within the kitchen, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and operational
Experience
- Proven experience as a Cook or Chef within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting
- Supervising experience in a culinary environment is desirable
- Extensive knowledge of food production, preparation, and presentation techniques
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management
- Experience in restaurant operations, including serving customers and managing kitchen workflow
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency
