KP Wilton & Son Ltd are a medium sized construction company based in Kingswood, Bristol. Having been established in 1964 the business continues today retaining the same family values that it had nearly 60 years ago.
We are looking for a Accounts Administrator / Book keeper with excellent attention to detail who will be invested in our team and our Company. They must be dedicated to ensuring that all accounting duties are completed both in a timely and accurate manner.
Working closely with the Business Manager, your main dutues will include but are not limited to:
- Ongoing bookkeeping (sales/purchase ledger)
- Banking / Managing supplier and subcontractor payments
- Monthly and Fortnightly Payroll
- VAT Returns
- Weekly / Monthly Reporting
- Year End Procedures
This will be for our main construction company and you will also carry out a small amount of transactions and accounts administration for our small property development company.
We believe that certain skills are essential to be successful in this role and these are detailed below:
- Suitable qualifications or proven previous experience in a similar role; we are ideally looking for someone AAT qualified.
- Excellent attention to detail

- Ability to work calmly under pressure
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to keep up to date with current financial regulations and good practice.
Desireable skills
- Reporting /Forecasting experience
- Previous construction industry experience and knowledge of CIS tax procedures
- Knowledge of EvolutionM accounting software (full training can be given)
