Overview
Join the team at Ritual Coffee&Co as a part-time Front of House (FOH) Team Member and become an important part of creating a warm, welcoming experience for our customers. We are looking for a friendly, reliable and experienced café professional who enjoys working with people and takes pride in delivering great service. In this role, you will help create a positive café environment by providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving food and drinks, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and supporting the smooth running of the café. This is a part-time position of 25 hours per week, offering the opportunity to work in a friendly and team-oriented environment.
Duties
- Welcome customers warmly and provide friendly, attentive service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and ensure they are prepared and served efficiently
- Prepare and serve coffee, drinks and food to Ritual Coffee&Co standards
- Operate the EPOS system accurately and handle customer payments
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation across the front-of-house and customer areas
- Ensure tables, counters and displays are kept clean, tidy and inviting throughout the day
- Assist with food preparation and other café duties when required
- Follow food safety, hygiene and allergen procedures at all times
- Provide knowledgeable and helpful information about menu items and ingredients
- Support the team during busy periods to ensure a smooth and efficient service
- Help create a welcoming atmosphere that encourages customers to return
Skills
- Previous café or coffee shop experience is required
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable manner
- Good knowledge of café operations, food service and beverage preparation
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Availability to work both Saturday and Sunday is essential
- Reliable, punctual and able to take responsibility for your duties
- Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness and presentation
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and allergen awareness
- Confident handling customer orders, payments and EPOS systems
- Positive attitude with the ability to remain calm and professional during busy periods
- Passion for good coffee, quality food and creating a great customer experience
