We are looking for an experienced and motivated Welder / Fabricator with Site Fitting experience to join our growing engineering and fabrication team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in producing high-quality work and enjoys a varied role both in the workshop and on customer sites.
The Role
Your duties will include:
· MIG welding of mild steel (TIG and MMA experience advantageous)
· Fabricating structural steelwork, platforms, handrails, pipework and bespoke fabrications from engineering drawings
· Working independently and as part of a team to produce high-quality work
· Installing fabricated items on customer sites across the region
· Carrying out maintenance and repair work when required
· Using hand and power tools safely and effectively
· Maintaining high standards of health, safety and housekeeping
Essential Requirements
· Proven experience as a Welder/Fabricator
· Previous site fitting and installation experience
· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
· High standard of workmanship and attention to detail
· Full UK Driving Licence
· Good communication skills and a positive attitude
· Ability to work independently and use initiative
Desirable (but not essential)
· Experience using CNC Plasma bed & press brake
· IPAF and/or PASMA
· Forklift or Telehandler experience
· Confined Space, Working at Height or MEWP qualifications
· Experience with stainless steel fabrication and pipework
