An exciting part-time opportunity has arisen for a flexible Receptionist to join the fantastic team at Charlotte House Hotel. This charming, boutique hotel is located on the Lawn site, directly opposite the Castle and has been undergoing a carefully planned programme of renovation, following its acquisition by Stokes Coffee and Tea.
As a Reception Team Member, you will be at the heart of giving our guests a great first impression of the hotel and ensuring a comfortable stay, but you will also provide support for a variety of events that take place in this beautiful space.
The successful candidate will also need to be a confident communicator, a natural problem solver and understand that the customer comes first. You will be working as part of a small, supportive, friendly team so flexibility across the week is a must. Shifts will usually allocated between 7.30am and 9.30pm. Staying overnight on site will also be required on a rota basis. Weekend working essential. Weekly hours will fluctuate but are estimated to be between 6-15 hours. Please note, there is no provision for staff parking.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Answer and direct phone calls/email enquiries in a polite and friendly manner.
- Welcome visitors in a warm and friendly manner and answer any questions visitors have.
- Ensure the reception area and all common areas are kept in a clean, tidy and presentable state at all times.
- Support breakfast set up and delivery
- Ensure that hotel IT systems are up to date and all data is input correctly and in line with all data guidelines.
- Keep detailed and accurate records of visitor requests and of calls received.
- Receive deliveries; sort and distribute incoming mail.
- Maintain the hotel filing system, and reception stock/ stationery.
- Ensure any facility issues are reported and follow up to ensure these tasks are completed.
- Support event set-up and execution
- Cover hotel bar
- Ensure all guests to the hotel are aware of fire evacuation procedures.
