POSITION IN THE ORGANISATION
Report to: Shift Manager
Responsible for: Factory Operatives, Machine Operators, FLT Drivers (when Manager is not onsite)
DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Coordinate activities on designated shift according to Production Manager and Operations Managers instruction
· Ensure all lines run efficiently and product is to customer specification
· Ensure PPE is worn by all staff
· Ensure any staff shortages are recorded and contact agency to arrange cover
· Coordinate hot end and wet end to ensure production plan is followed
· Be aware of site KPI’s and complete daily reports
· Ensure the site is secure out of office hours
· Keep high levels of housekeeping throughout production and warehouse areas
· Liaise with the training team to ensure all employees are signed off on their role
· Complete thorough shift handover and ensure all quality aspects are reported
· Support continuous improvement of staff through training and multi skilling
· Complete timely probation review meetings with your team
Requirements
- Proven experience in Shift Leadership role
- Hands-on experience of a leadership role growing a team.
- Mechanical knowledge beneficial for troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a collaborative environment.
- Knowledge of process improvement methodologies aimed at increasing efficiency within production operations.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards. This role is ideal for proactive individuals eager to lead operational activities within a busy production setting while contributing to ongoing process enhancements.
Pay: £15.37-£19.21 per hour
