Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming environment for all patrons. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of beverages and light food items, ensuring high standards of food safety and cleanliness are maintained at all times. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, adhering to company recipes and standards.
- Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling light snacks or baked goods as required.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in all aspects of work, including cleaning equipment and work surfaces regularly.
- Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders accurately, answering questions about menu items, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Manage cash register operations, including handling payments efficiently and accurately using the POS system.
- Organise workspace efficiently to ensure smooth operation during busy periods.
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers.
- Assist with stock replenishment and inventory checks to ensure availability of products at all times.
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience is essential
- Knowledge of food safety standards is advantageous.
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is preferred.
- Basic food preparation skills are beneficial.
- Good time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
