Bar Manager – Makla & The Fez Lounge

Makla & The Fez is a vibrant destination combining delicious North African-inspired dining with an exclusive cocktail lounge experience. Following a major refurbishment, we’re entering an exciting new chapter – and we’re looking for an experienced, hands-on Bar Manager to lead our team.
About the Role
As Bar Manager, you’ll be responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of both our restaurant and Fez Lounge. You’ll lead by example, ensuring high standards of hospitality, efficiency, and service, while driving revenue and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the bar
- Recruit, train, and inspire a motivated front-of-house and bar team to ensure consistency throughout the team in making and preparing drinks and producing new drinks menus as required.
- Maintain exceptional service standards in line with our premium positioning
- Manage stock control, rotas, and budgets effectively
- Curate events, promotions, communicating effectively between guests, and entertainment
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations
- Previous management experience in a bar, club, restaurant, or hospitality venue, you must have a valid personal license.
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- A passion for cocktails, premium dining, and creating memorable guest experiences
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and driving sales
- A hands-on approach and willingness to lead from the front
