Job description:
IVC Signs is looking to recruit an experienced Lead Sign Fitter based in the Margate area to join our enthusiastic and growing team.
This is a key role within the business, supporting the continued development of the company and working alongside another Sign Fitter to deliver high-quality signage installations for our clients.
The successful candidate will have at least 5 years’ experience within the sign industry and a strong practical and technical understanding of sign fitting and installation.
The Role
You will be responsible for installing a wide range of signage, including:
- Totems and monoliths
- Flex-face signage
- Built-up letters
- Fascia signs
- LED lighting and cabling
- Digitally printed vinyl graphics
- Brick vinyl applications
- Carrying out site surveys
- General sign installation and associated site work
The role involves nationwide travel, with occasional work across Europe. Overnight stays will be required, along with occasional night work and out-of-hours installations.
You will need a positive, hands-on approach, a strong work ethic and the ability to work effectively as part of a team while taking responsibility for delivering installations to a high standard.

- Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in sign fitting

- Be reliable, punctual and professional
- Be willing to travel nationwide and occasionally across Europe
- Be flexible and willing to assist the wider team when required
Key Responsibilities
- Installation of a wide range of signage
- Carrying out site surveys
- Maintaining stock levels on company vehicles
- Checking and maintaining tools and equipment
- Ensuring vehicles and work areas are kept clean and organised
- Following all Health & Safety procedures
- Maintaining good timekeeping and meeting installation schedules
- Working as part of a professional and supportive installation team
Qualifications & Skills
The following qualifications are desirable:
- IPAF
- PASMA
- CSCS
- SPA
- Asbestos Awareness
A full, clean UK driving licence is required.
Salary & Benefits
Basic salary: Negotiable depending on experience
On-target earnings: £55,000 – £60,000 per year, including overtime
Additional allowances include:
- Overnight allowance
- Evening meal and breakfast allowance
- Late working meal allowance
- Overtime opportunities
