Established for more than 35 years, Creative Play UK has the experience, knowledge and exciting plans to continue growing within the industry and expanding into new sectors. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an excellent Playground Designer to expand our existing team.
As a Playground Designer, you will be tasked to create industry leading customer proposals through engaging 3D CAD renders and visualisations, in conjunction with detailed project costings and technical specifications across all sectors.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Assess site specific information to determine the customer brief
- Liaise with the Sales team to discuss projects, specifications and best practice
- Produce high quality, exciting, engaging and well-planned 3D visual renders of proposed play areas to further support the role of the sales team and to help our customers with their decision-making process
- Create striking and impactful drawings and layouts through use of relevant CAD software
- Produce detailed technical drawings to further support our Project Managers and Operations department with site planning and installation
- To provide advice and technical information to members of all departments as required
- Identify areas where cost savings could be made through efficient design, layout and specifications
- Attend weekly meetings between the Sales and Design teams to discuss projects and provide updates
- Support the rest of the design team as reasonably requested with any ad hoc projects
- Work to specific deadlines and keep to a set schedule
- Ensure the design and specification of the play areas conform to relevant safety standards
- Work through customer revisions and amendments as required and as efficiently as possible
- Provide project information to the relevant Project Manager ahead of installation to aid with a smooth and successful project delivery
- Provide the Operations department with relevant costing information and specifications to assist with ordering of materials for installation
- Prepare full printed proposal packs as required to post to customers and/or members of the Sales team
- Identify any areas where better use of space/layout and specification can enable cost savings without compromising on quality and impact
- Work to and follow a set brief
- To gain an insight and understanding of the relevant safety standards
- Assess and work through detailed tender specifications
