We are recruiting on behalf of an established multidisciplinary London law firm seeking an experienced
Immigration Solicitor to join its busy and growing Immigration Department.
This is a senior fee-earning position combining hands-on immigration casework with
supervisory responsibility, client conversion and commercial responsibility.
The firm has a strong pipeline of immigration enquiries and is looking for someone who can confidently manage their own caseload while supporting and developing junior members of the department.
The Role You will manage a broad range of UK immigration matters, including:
- Entry clearance and visa applications
- Work, study, visit and family routes
- Leave to remain and Indefinite Leave to Remain
- Sponsor licence applications and compliance
- Family and private life applications
- EU Settlement Scheme matters
- Administrative reviews and appeals
- Nationality and citizenship applications
You will also supervise and support immigration paralegals and caseworkers, review work, allocate files and provide technical guidance and mentoring.
A key part of the position will be conducting initial client consultations, developing strong client relationships and converting enquiries into retained, fee-paying clients.
You will work towards agreed billing and revenue targets and contribute to the continued growth and development of the Immigration Department.
About You To be considered, you should:
- Be a qualified Solicitor admitted to practise in England & Wales
- Hold a valid SRA Practising Certificate
- Have a minimum of 3 years PQE in UK immigration law
- Have broad, hands-on UK immigration experience
- Have previous experience supervising paralegals, caseworkers or junior team members
- Be confident managing a high-volume caseload independently
- Have strong client-facing and consultation skills
- Demonstrate commercial awareness and experience working towards billing targets
- Have excellent knowledge of UK immigration law, Immigration Rules and Home Office guidance
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Have the right to work in the UK
Experience with immigration appeals, complex matters, sponsor licences or business immigration would be particularly advantageous.
