Are you happiest when you're surrounded by tiny people, big personalities and a whole lot of curiosity?
Do you love those little moments that make the baby room so special, the first smile, the first steps, the messy sensory play and the feeling that you've helped a little one feel safe, settled and ready to explore?
If you're a fully qualified Early Years Practitioner who genuinely loves working with babies and wants to be part of a team that cares about doing things brilliantly, we'd love to hear from you.
We're looking for a Nursery Practitioner to join our Baby Room at Wildflower Shawlands, formerly Pied Piper Nursery, as we continue our exciting journey as Wildflower Nurseries & Preschool.
Our babies are at the very beginning of their learning journey, and you'll play a huge part in making those first experiences positive, meaningful and full of fun.
You'll be:
-
Creating a warm, nurturing and stimulating environment where every baby feels safe, secure and valued
-
Planning and delivering engaging activities that are right for each child's stage of development
-
Building strong relationships with children and their families
-
Supporting babies with their routines, care needs, feeding and sleep
-
Getting involved in everything from messy play and sensory experiences to songs, stories and outdoor adventures
-
Observing children's development and using what you see to help shape their learning
-
Working closely with your room team to create a calm, happy and positive environment
-
Following our safeguarding and wellbeing procedures to make sure every child is safe and supported
Most importantly, you'll be someone who gets that the little things really matter. A cuddle when they're missing home, getting down on their level, celebrating their latest achievement or simply making them laugh.
We're looking for someone who is:
-
Holds a full and relevant Early Years qualification
-
Experienced in working with babies or genuinely passionate about developing their experience in a baby room
-
Warm, caring and naturally nurturing
-
Full of ideas and excited to create meaningful learning experiences
-
A great communicator who enjoys working as part of a team
-
Reliable, positive and willing to get stuck in
-
Passionate about giving children the very best start
You don't need to have every answer. We're looking for someone with the right attitude, energy and passion for Early Years who wants to grow with us.
We're building something really special at Wildflower.
Our nurseries are all about creating places where children can grow, our teams can flourish and everyone feels like they belong. We're bringing our settings together under one Wildflower family while keeping the individual personality and community that makes each nursery unique.
At Shawlands, you'll be joining a team that knows its children and families, cares about the community around it and is excited about this next chapter.
And because we want our people to feel just as valued as the children we care for, you'll also get:
-
31 days annual leave
-
Your birthday off
-
A wellbeing day
-
At least 60% childcare discount
