We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join our compassionate team. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health and diagnose conditions.
- Perform surgical procedures, including routine spays and neuters, as well as more complex surgeries as required.
- Administer anaesthesia and monitor patients during surgical procedures to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Provide post-operative care and follow-up consultations for patients.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for all patients treated.
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure high standards of care are maintained.
- Educate pet owners on preventative care, treatment options, and post-surgical care instructions.
- Stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine and participate in continuous professional development.
Experience
- A degree in Veterinary Medicine (BVSc or equivalent) is essential, along with full registration with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).
- Previous experience in a veterinary practice is highly desirable, particularly in performing surgical procedures.
- Familiarity with laboratory techniques and diagnostics is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues alike.
- A compassionate approach towards animals and their owners, demonstrating empathy and understanding in all interactions.
