Job Summary
The Cleaning Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily delivery of cleaning services across the assigned location. This role ensures that contractual obligations are met, cleaning standards are consistently maintained, and client satisfaction remains high. The Cleaning Manager will lead a team of cleaning operatives, coordinate resources, and act as the primary point of contact between the client and C4 Cleaning.

- 07:00 - 16:00
- Some weekends may be required
Key Responsibilities1. Operational Management
- Oversee and coordinate daily cleaning operations across assigned areas.
- Ensure all services meet contractual specifications and performance standards.
- Conduct regular inspections to maintain quality.
- Manage daily cleaning schedules and recurring supplier visits.
2. Team Leadership
- Train, support, and supervise on‑site cleaning staff.
- Ensure all inductions and training are completed through approved systems.
- Monitor performance and verify attendance and hours.
- Promote a safe, positive working environment.
3. Service Coordination
- Act as the primary contact for all cleaning‑related communication.
- Escalate additional service needs or changes to Operations Management.
4. Compliance & Health and Safety
- Ensure all cleaning activities follow health and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records including COSHH, risk assessments, and incident reports.
- Enforce correct PPE usage and safe working practices.
5. Resource & Inventory Control
- Monitor and manage cleaning supplies, equipment, and stock levels.
- Ensure equipment is maintained and serviced.
- Submit monthly reports on resource usage and performance.
Supplier Management
- Maintain an up‑to‑date schedule of all recurring supplier visits.
- Coordinate access and ensure attendance aligns with operational needs.
- Arrange all access requirements, including identification, parking, and site protocols.
- Meet and brief suppliers on arrival to confirm scope and ensure compliance.
Reporting & Communication
- Request and consolidate weekly/monthly service reports from suppliers.
- Maintain ongoing communication regarding treatments, replenishment schedules, stock checks, collections, and compliance.
- Serve as the central point for supplier queries and scheduling adjustments.
Governance
- Any additional service requests must be escalated to Management for approval.
- Changes to supplier arrangements or requests for quotations must only be handled by the Operations team to ensure compliance and procurement control.
Experience
- Experience supervising cleaning teams and daily operations
- Strong understanding of cleaning standards, quality checks, and corrective actions
- Knowledge of health & safety, COSHH, PPE, and safe working practices
- Experience training staff and completing inductions
- Ability to manage rotas, schedules, and attendance systems
- Experience coordinating external suppliers or contractors
- Competence in stock control, equipment upkeep, and resource planning
- Ability to produce operational reports and maintain accurate records
- Strong communication skills for staff and supplier coordination
- Experience handling escalations and operational problem‑solving
